2 Steps to Register At SCAMP

All campers must resister through the Recreation department by one of the following ways:

    • Walk In: The office is located in the Gary Doyle Center at 7273 Wing Lake Road between 14 and 15 mile roads.  When in the parking lot, use the entrance at the right of the building.  This is not the “main” entrance

      THEN

      Complete the enrollment packet and mail it or bring it into the Recreation Office.  Enrollment packets are available here or in the Recreation Office.  Enrollment packets are available on this site or in the Recreation office.

      Packets must back to SCAMP by June 1, 2010.


      LOWER SCAMP – Ages 3-12

      Course Numbers & Class Descriptions

      5501 Age 3-4.  SCAMP services children whose primary label is NOT speech and language delay in this group.  All other disabilities or concerns are welcome in this class.                           

      5502  Age 3-4. Speech & Language Delayed self-contained class.  Students need to have the primary diagnosis of speech and language delay as deemed by their IFSP.

      5503  Ages 5-6.  SCAMP services individuals with all disabilities in this age
      group.

      5504  Ages 7-8.  SCAMP services individuals with all disabilities in this age group.

      5505 Ages 9-10.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate autism, cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.

      5506  Ages 11-12.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate autism, cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.

      5507 D or HH SCAMP Ages 3-12.  Children in the group are serviced in a Deaf or Hard of Hearing program during the school year.  Center based children enroll here.  This class requires a minimum enrollment number and is subject to cancellation.  The class may be broken into two classes to better meet the needs of the children based on age, ability or other needs as deemed appropriate.  Brenda Bujold (D/HH SCAMP Supervisor & Classroom Instructor) will assist with placements.

      UPPER SCAMP – Ages 13-26


      5508  Ages 13-15.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate autism, cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.

      5509  Ages 16-18.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate                            autism, cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.

      5510 Ages 19-21.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate autism, cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.

      5511 Ages 22-24.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate autism,  cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.


      5512 Ages 25-26.  SCAMP services individuals with mild to moderate autism, cognitive or physical impairments in this age group.

      5513 PI SCAMP Ages 13-26. This classroom is designed around the individual who is wheelchair bound with mild to moderate cognitive impairments.  Many participants attend the Farmington Public Schools center based program at Warner Middle School or Harrison High School during the school year.  Any individual who is wheelchair-bound is free toregister in this self-contained class.  This class has additional staff to meet individual camper’s needs.

      Participants must be able to function in a 3 camper to 1 adult ratio.  SCAMP does not

      provide “one-on-ones” however welcomes them from any outside source such as the camper’s home school.  Participants must not be a danger to themselves or anyone else as defined in the Bloomfield Hills Schools Uniform Code of Conduct.  Scholarship assistance is available to those who qualify.
