Sessions: To maintain the highest degree of programming for campers, volunteers must agree to work one of two full sessions.Volunteers may extend their days of volunteer service or may choose to work both sessions, however they may not work a partial session. (For example – working only Mondays and Wednesdays in one session is not allowed.)
2015 Dates: Session 1: Mandatory volunteer orientation on Monday, June 22, 9:00am
June 23,24,25,29,30 July 6,7,8,9 = 10 volunteer days (52 hours)
Session 2: Mandatory 2 hour volunteer orientation on Thursday, July 9, from 10am to 12 pm
July 13,14,15,16,20,21,22,23 = 9 volunteer days (47 hours)

Elks Scholarship: Camper must be 17 years of age or younger and come from a family in financial need. Please download the form, fill it out, and mail it back to SCAMP. You must pay the $25 registration fee and if approved, the scholarship will cover the remaining tuition. You will be notified via email or phone if you have been approved.
Financial Assistance
SCAMP does not directly fund scholarships, but disperses monies given from outside agencies. There are limited full and partial scholarships that are available providing the camper meets the agency criteria and are given on a first-come-first-serve basis. Eligible families typically make 40K or less or must show financial. Other reasons may be lay-off notice, more than one child with a disability, or other related issue.

PICK UP & DROF OFF: When you arrive at West Hills Middle School – the first entrance you will see is the main entrance. This entrance with a turn around is for the UPPER camp only. This is the same entrance for pick up and drop off that was used last year.
If you follow the parking lot to the left, you will see another entrance. This is the entrance for the LOWER camp only. Both busses and personal cars will pick up at their appropriate location. Please observe staff and signs which might be present the first day of camp to assist with pick up and drop off areas.
ALL CAMPERS BEING TRANSPORTED BY PERSONAL CAR MUST BE PICKED UP NO LATER THAN 2:10pm as most staff are dismissed at 2:15pm. Thank you!

SCAMP Work Days
Wednesday, June 22 - 9am to 12pm. Supervisors, classroom teachers and indiviudals who have been contacted by Chandra Madafferi, SCAMP Coordinator. Wear comfortable clothes. We will begin setting up our classrooms and dividing up our supplies.
Thursday, June 23- 9am to 2pm. All staff report, with the exception of High School volunteers, to their assigned location to continue classroom set up. Please bring a sack lunch and snacks as you will not be permitted to leave. We will have staff meeting at 11 to discuss policies and procedures at SCAMP. You may be dismissed early on this day per Supervisor approval.
Friday, June 24 - 9am to 2pm. All paid staff report to your assigned location. We will give you the agenda Friday morning. There will be a camper open house from 12:30 to 1:30.
