Lower Scamp: Ages 3-12:
Class Descriptions:
Age 3-4. SCAMP services any child who is receiving special education services of any kind or is labeled “at-risk” in this class, who can function within a 3 camper to 1 staff member ratio. (5501)
Ages 9-10. SCAMP services any child who is receiving special education services through an IEP in the following qualifying area: CI (Cognitively Impaired), PI (Physically Impaired), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), VI (Visually Impaired), HI (Hearing Impaired), OHI (Other Health Impairment), and SLI (Speech and Language Impaired), who can function within a 3 camper to 1 staff member ratio. - Campers that are developmentally delayed and therefore are not fully potty trained. SCAMP staff will assist changing with diapers and pull ups with children in this age group.

Upper Scamp: Ages 13 - 26+:
SCAMP services any child who is receiving special education services through an IEP in the following qualifying area: CI (Cognitively Impaired), PI (Physically Impaired), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), VI (Visually Impaired), HI (Hearing Impaired), and OHI (Other Health Impairment), who can function within a 3 camper to 1 staff member ratio.
Applicants are accepted by a case by case basis. Maximum age of 26+ in this program. Former SCAMPers have enrollment priority.
General Upper SCAMP Classroom Descriptions:
1) If a camper cannot function within a 3:1 ration they are required to have one on one support provided through a school district or approved outside agency.
2) All classes require a minimum enrollment number and are subject to cancellation. The class may be broken into two classes or combined with another age group to better meet the needs of the children based on age, ability or other needs as deemed appropriate.
3) After the age of 6 we recommend that all campers be potty trained. Exceptions will be made for campers who are wheelchair bound. SCAMP will assist with toileting/changing in our health aid station with an additional para.
4) If a child comes to SCAMP and is wheelchair bound, they must come to SCAMP with their own one-on-one. Exceptions will be made for campers who can drive their own chair and based on the discretion of the SCAMP Coordinator.
5) Assistance will be given for changing and eating.

Campers that attend SCAMP may be attending as part of an Enrichment Program or Extended School Year Services (ESY): Eligibility for Enrichment Programming and/or ESY is determined through your home school district.
